Drowning in the sea of
“What if?”.
It fills our minds and
our hearts
and it consumes us.
Controls us.
Chains us
and
pulls us down
and
drowns
us.
In fear.
In worry.
And
an
overwhelming
sense
of
helplessness.
UNTIL.
Until we let it go.
Releasing the chains that bind us.
Letting them fall.
Looking
to the One
Who frees us.
The One
who saves us from drowning:
reaching down
to pull us up,
He breathes HOPE
back into our lungs,
filling
us
with
PEACE.

Thank you, Vickie! This morning, the Lord gave me this thought…Holding up our hands in complete surrender – “letting go and letting God” – is the first step toward God’s victory. Your words were a confirmation to me.

I am thankful that God is always at work around us, often in ways we don’t see, but what a gift His Word is for us–reminding us of His Truth!

Thanks for this reminder. And I love this verse, it is one of my favorites.
One time I read this somewhere: “What if doesn’t exist, don’t go there!” I like to think of it when the “what if” tries to take over😁
