Sunday Morning Musing

When the answer to the question that I am pondering

is

still

out

of

reach,

how many times I have said,

“If only God would write it in the sky.”

Psalm 46.10

And I forget that even if He did,

I would still doubt the answer.

A plane left its mark,

or a coincidence filled in the blanks

and

my

human

heart

would

doubt

my

own

interpretation.

Because I am fallible.

Why do we look up to the sky, when His Word is written in black and white

and red.

And infallible.

He has preserved the answers to life’s questions,

and

yet

we

look

in

the

strangest

of

places.

There is no denying that I see him in the sun,

and the trees of the field,

and the birds of the air…

all of creation pointing to The Creator.

“For His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what He has made.”  Romans 1:20

He is there.

And He is reminding me to look in His Book.

Look to His Word for wisdom

and Truth:

(Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”  John 14:6)

We see His handiwork and are amazed,

but

the

Words

He

has

given

us

are

the.most.valuable.of.all.

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.” ~~Jesus, Matthew 24:35
