While I love the four seasons we enjoy in the Midwest, I am always in awe of God’s creation whenever I travel to other parts of our beautiful country. Some would think that the dry desert is barren and boring, but I totally disagree!
I am in Arizona this week, and even though I left my camera at home, these shots with my iPhone will give you a glimpse of this beautiful land:

Twins

Beauty in the Desert

Vermillion Flycatcher

Mountain View

Queen Victoria Agave

Twisted Tree (I loved this old man!)

Red Yucca

Desert Cardinal

I grew up in a copper mining town, Ajo, AZ. So, I love the desert and miss it. Now living in TN.

Reminds me of seeing the saguaro (sp?) cactus for the first time. I couldn’t wait to see my first cactus in its real environment when we made our first trip to Arizona, where we lived for 3 whole months in Tucson in 1957.
