Unpacking Hope

I’m not sure where I put it, but I know it’s there.

Stored away.

Forgotten.

And

this

treasure

so once held dear

should

never

have disappeared.

HOPE.

Where does it come from and where does it go?

The temporary nature of hope is only temporary when we stop holding on.

HOLD ON.

The shallowness of hope is revealed when it is placed in the temporary.

True hope is eternal.  Enduring. Proven. Powerful.

REAL HOPE comes from GOD.

Faithful. True. Life-giving HOPE.

He. Hears.

He. Knows.

He. Loves.

He. Forgives.

He. Renews.

He. Restores.

He. Revives.

He. Fills.

He. Empowers.

He. Supplies.

He. Sustains.

HE. MAKES. ALL. THINGS. NEW.

And one day,

ONE DAY,

He will complete His work in this world.

In me.

In you.

And we will not be disappointed.

Because hope does not disappoint.

Amen!! Thank you, Vickie, that poem really inspired me. You have true, God-given talent. Happy Thanksgiving, and thank you for reminding me to keep a proper perspective.
