Scripture Challenge Recap: Genesis-2 Kings

I realize that not all of my readers are following the Scripture Challenge that I started last year, but it’s a new year and time to get busy memorizing!

Even if you didn’t commit to memorizing a passage from every book of the Bible, why not pick a few of these verses and challenge yourself in this discipline?

1-Psalm 119.11 1-21-2014 4-35-14 PM

Because I’m a visual person, with every verse I created a printable so that I could use it on my phone and print it out.  I updated all of the printables after realizing that some of them might not be user-friendly.

Here are the verses we’ve worked on so far, from Genesis to 2 Kings:

Genesis 1.1 1-21-2014 11-39-55 AM

Exodus 15.2 1-21-2014 11-39-55 AM

Leviticus 20.7 1-21-2014 11-39-54 AM

Numbers 14.18 1-21-2014 11-39-55 AM

Deuteronomy 6.5 1-21-2014 11-39-55 AM

Judges 21.25 1-21-2014 12-04-27 PM

1 Kings 8.23 1-6-2014 5-38-22 PM

2 Kings 17.39 1-7-2014 7-54-08 AM

You can copy and save one or all of them (click here to print a singe 8.5 x 11 page containing all of them).  Here are some of the ways I use them:

  • Screensaver on your desktop or laptop
  • Wallpaper for your phone’s home screen or lock screen
  • Bookmark for whatever you’re reading
  • Post it on your mirror, refrigerator or microwave
  • Keep a separate “Memory Verses” file in your photos for easy review!

I’m taking a little time to review to make sure I’ve got these down, but I’m already working on my next post from 1 Chronicles, so get ready to get busy!
