…for the Father up above is looking down in LOVE,
so be careful little eyes what you see!

Lucy Grace
This song from my childhood entered my mind (a common occurrence for me!) when I saw this picture of my sweet granddaughter Lucy wearing Nana’s reading glasses.
Just as the music in my ears has influenced my heart over the years, I am reminded that the things that we allow to penetrate our heart through our eyes will influence us as well. I’m not just talking about the negative influences around us–there are plenty of those; I’m thinking more and more about the things we’re NOT seeing that are right in front of us. Opportunities to see others from God’s perspective–
“DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE?”
…A widow who’s lonely
…A neighbor that needs a friend
…A friend that needs a hand
…A stranger that needs a smile
…A spouse that needs forgiveness
…A child that needs your time…
Galatians 5:13 (HCSB)
13 For you were called to be free, brothers; only don’t use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love.
“Lord wake me up to the needs around me. Help me to really see. Expand my vision so I won’t miss an opportunity to serve.”
