Why is it

that I cannot see

the girl in the mirror

as clearly

as

I

should?

If only there were a mirror on my heart.

The invisible

would

become

visible.

“Man does not see what the Lord sees, for man sees what is visible, but the Lord sees the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

He knows.

He sees.

He reveals

what

I

don’t

really

want

to

see.

The Truth.

My sin.  My scars.

My fears.  My failures.

My plea for help.

And so much more…

He sees what I could be.

What I was created to be.

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”  1 Peter 2:9

He alone

can make something beautiful

out

of

the

reflection

that

is

me.
