Yep. It’s one of those days.
Gray and cloudy and cold and wet.
On the outside too.
Begging for just a hint of sunshine
to brighten the day…
And then I see you.
Your smile.
Your kind words.
They light up the room.
Sunshine.
Breaking through the clouds
and
warming
a
lonely
heart.
And now, finally, I can see
that light filtering through the
dark clouds.
Chasing away the gloom.
Bringing comfort to the melancholy,
and hope to the tears.
You didn’t even know,
but you were,
in that small gesture,
sunshine
on
a
cloudy
day.
